Retiring MP James Lunney eligible for $75,000 pension by 2015

James Lunney, who has represented the BC riding of Nanaimo-Alberni since 2000, has announcd he won't seek re-election in 2015. He is eligible for a $75,352 annual, indexed to inflation pension. If he lives until age 90, the average lifespan of parliamentary pension plan members, he will collect a total pension payout of $2.55 million.
